Born and raised in Jersey City, John Rogers remained a proud lifelong resident and a devoted fan of his hometown.  John had strong concerns for the community and actively promoted the causes he believed in.  As a career banker, he recognized the importance of local small businesses and tirelessly assisted clients in responsibly applying for and securing financing for this purpose.

John served as a Board Member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County and he understood the needs of our less-advantaged children.  He strongly believed this organization provided an environment for social learning and opportunity.  He developed the Young Enterprisers Summer Program, introducing members to their first small business experience.

Since education was extremely important to John, his family decided upon his death to establish a scholarship fund in his name that would assist the youth of the area he loved.  They firmly believe he would be both pleased and proud to be associated with an endeavor as valuable as this.
