A diverse group of civic-minded youth advocates are employed by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County. From Club to Club and throughout the administrative office, dedicated and fully-trained staff work in support of developing the young people of our community.

Each member of our highly respected team is encouraged to advance professionally in their respective arena of influence. Guidance is provided through orientations, development trainings, quarterly all-staff gatherings, and direct peer-to-peer mentoring/coaching. Competitive compensation and/or benefits are provided to full and part-time staff.

Current Openings

Technology Program Instructor (Monday - Saturday 3pm-8pm)

Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County needs a highly energetic and organized individual to ensure delivery of a technology based program for children ages 6-18 at our Jersey City Unit.  The Technology Program Assistant will be responsible for implementing technology instruction and support all the while supervising activities in an assigned technology lab.  This position is also responsible for maintenance and support of technology and audio visual equipment at the Club.  

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. BA in computer information systems or related field from an accredited college or university or four (4) years experience preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse groups of children, particularly those at risk, in an educational environment.
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office 2003, Windows, Publishing software. Web development and programming skills preferred.
  • Experience with the Digital Arts Festival, Image Makers and Music Makers programs.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, high creativity and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues (hardware and software).
  • Experience managing employees and coordinating or working with volunteers.
  • Belief in the mission and purpose of the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
