Programs

Core Areas of Programming

Our Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County offers a comprehensive array of programs that meet the diverse needs, interests and inclinations of all members. Our trained professional staff incorporates the following themes into daily activities, allowing youth to learn in a fun and educational environment.

Boys & Girls Clubs’ programs have taken members from the Clubhouse to the White House; from the game room to the corporate boardroom; and from the drum corps to Orchestra Hall.  Our tested and nationally recognized programs address today’s most pressing youth issues and teach young people the skills they need to succeed in life.

We offer a comprehensive array of programs that are valued at $500 per child each year. However, our annual membership fee is just $12 because we want every child to be able to join a Club.

For more information on specific programs, please click on each for more information, contact us or just stop by the Clubs. All programs are supervised and instructed by our professionally trained staff.

Young Enterprisers Summer Program

This exploration program for boys and girls ages 11-14, focuses on tradtional and emerging careers. Participants attend a series of workshops that concentrate on goal setting, resume writing, and research. Guest speakers and field trips complement the workshop activites.

Supplemental Education Services Provider

The NJ Department of Education again selected the Boys & Girls Club to be Provider of Supplemental Education for the 2008-2009 school year.  Using the Plato Lightspan Achieve Now Program and individualized homework assistance, the Boys & Girls Club will aggressively address the literacy, reading comprehension, and mathematical needs of the students.
